SpamCop Addin is an extension for Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016 or 2019 version for simplified reporting spam to SpamCop.
Normally spam to SpamCop is accomplished via a simple forwarding in your own e-mail client. However, this does not work in Microsoft Outlook, because this mail client changes or removes the invisible header information of the e-mail and thus it does not make any sense to forwarding any e-mail to SpamCop.
The SpamCop Addin forwards the e-mail including the mail headers to SpamCop. To report spam to SpamCop in Microsoft Outlook will be as simple as in other mail clients.

Advantages:
There are not short-time benefits of reducing spam by this Addin. However, I found out that a lot of website providers responded for spam messages by myself quickly took action against sending spam. Although I use well known email addresses since a couple of years the amount of spam has been reduced to these email addresses since I use the SpamCop Addin.

What is SpamCop?
SpamCop is a reporting service on the Internet, which in unsolicited bulk e-mail and unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam) to IP addresses of the outgoing mail server and linked sites studied, the Internet responsible for identifying service providers (ISPs) and this informed about their abuse address the suspected spam. SpamCop also maintains a blacklist of IP addresses on the Internet send the current spam called "SpamCop Blocking List" (SCBL) or "SpamCop blacklist."
Many ISPs use this service to fight spam in your own infrastructure. For example, use the corporate mail servers usually the blacklist of SpamCop but also the reports of suspected spam will be evaluated in order to identify any web hosts and e-mail accounts as soon as possible and turn off the spam traffic, the confirmation of the suspected spam.

To fulfill this duty SpamCop does not use any kind of automatic method to detect spam. Instead of it SpamCop operates an e-mail subsystem which can be used to indentify spam by the opinion of millions of e-mail users all over the world. A single message to SpamCop usually has little effect. However an accumulation of messages from different users, causes a notification to the abuse address of providers for suspicious IP addresses. If suspected spam for a suspicious IP address is permanently, the affected IP address is also added to the SpamCop blacklist with the effect that all connected other ISPs around the world does no longer accept mails from mail servers of the affected IP Address.

The SpamCop Addin uses the following environment on the target computer:
- Microsoft Windows starting from Windows Vista
(All 32- and 64 bit variants are supported.)
- Microsoft .NET Framework V4.5
- Microsoft Office Outlook between 2010 and 2019
- Free account for Reporting Services at SpamCop: http://www.spamcop.net
- Supported languages: German, English

As an alternative to the offline installer, you can also install the SpamCop Addin directly using the online installer. On a Windows operating system, run the online installer directly by clicking on the download button. Please note that this online installer will download all necessary files from my blog and therefore will not work without an internet connection.
The online installer has the advantage that it also allows the installation of the SpamCop Addin for Office installations that are currently not supported by the offline installer. In addition, the online installer detects quite reliably whether any missing components from Microsoft must be downloaded and offers the automatic download of these components from the Microsoft download portal and its installation.

Steps to use this addin
For installation please follow the instructions of the downloaded Installer. Then start Microsoft Outlook. Within Outlook a new ribbon appears with the title "SpamCop" and you can type in the e-mail address of your SpamCop's account under "Settings".
Other settings are not mandatory. After SpamCop's e-mail address has been saved now you can report emails as spam to SpamCop at any time. There are two possible ways:
- Highlight the e-mails you want to report in the Inbox or any other folder of Outlook. In the appropriate context menu click to the item "Report as Spam".
- If an email is currently open: Click to "Report as Spam" in the Ribbon "SpamCop".
You can select multiple emails and send them as spam to SpamCop. But please avoid select different elements (read confirmations, invitations to meetings, etc.). In this case the menu item "Report as Spam" is hidden.

I have updated the Installer und its description.
No. Perhaps SpamCop has currently a high traffic.
SpamCop is usually very fast but sometimes I was waiting for the report already by 1 hour or more.
Wondering if a patch broke the add-in. Any thoughts ?
Actually, this addin is not yet released for Windows 8.1 but the version check of Windows used by the installer logs the version of Windows 8 instead of Windows 8.1.
I fixed the prerequiste check of the installer and added support for Windows 8.1. Please download and install the new version 1.2.
can you please update it to work with Outlook 2016?

I don't use Office 2016.
The SpamCop Addin now supports Office 2016.
I am using Windows 10 Pro 64-bit as the OS.
For all the mails that I reported as spam, SpamCop is displaying the following message:
Can't parse date of spam for age detection: Authentication-Results:
Any clues what could be wrong?

I know different licences of Office 2016 do install different folders and/or registry entries. Should your version detect all?
Functionally nothing new is added, the Addin exactly does what it should.
New are the support for Office 2019, the upgrade to .NET 4.5, and now the installation works in mixed environments, for example, using Outlook 32-bit in a 64-bit OS environment.
